Today was a fantastic start up and a ball of joy but first, here’s how it all started.
The other day, I began to think about exploring different ways to earn money. I thought to myself, how can I earn more money quickly? How can I receive large sums of money, consistently, from multiple resources that I get to keep?
You see, I look and listen to these affirmation videos daily and it resonates with me soooo much. Like so much! It’s almost… well not almost, I’ll just flat out say it; the universe is talking with me to let me know I’m doing something right. I’ve always been the person to say, the possibilities are endless. You can do anything you’ve set your mind to do. There’s no limit.
And then I was taught to pick one thing and stick to that. Now I may have taken that out of context, because I was thinking “oh my I have to work in admin and stay with that.” or “if I chose to work in the adult industry then I should stick with sexting and telephone.” I now realize that my mother meant, pick the industry you want to work in and stick with that. Working as an admin and an adult content creator didn’t quite suite me. If I worked a full-time job, by the time I got home, I was too tired to talk to someone over the phone. I was ready for my wine and bed. Just to wake up the next morning and do it all again.
Now that I’m an independent virtual adult worker; after listening to one video that the universe sent to me, in which said, it’s okay to receive money from multiple resources; it dawned on me that I didn’t have to limited myself to just sexting and telephone! I could go back into webcamming as well! Multiple streams of resources for income within the adult industry! Eureka! I was hooked on this new era of what I would call…. me.
I’m already on MFC (My Free Cams) - love this platform. I’m free as a bird, my followers kept me as their friend and even though I dipped out for a few years, once I logged back on, they welcomed me back with open arms. I earned a solid $100 in one whole hour! That’s right! Lil ole Ebony model me, earned $100 in one hour! I was floored, but happy as hell!!! If you’re anything like me, you don’t stick to one platform, you want to explore as many as you can take. Especially as an Ebony model. What I have painfully learned in this journey, is that I need to go where I am loved as I am. I have also learned that I need to work harder than my white counterparts. No shade, but this is just the facts. I’ll post one of my old stories here, but long story short, I did my research long before I started webcamming and I learned that white webcam models earn significantly more than black webcam models easily. And they don’t work as hard as the black webcam models. I’ll even do you one better, after I saw this with my own two eyes, I still signed up and learned from first hand experience.
Fast forward to some years later, I went back to school for my undergrad, and I needed to write a paper. I chose this topic to write about. I didn’t want to make the sole research about my own personal experience, (due to what’s it called, I believe it’s confirmation bias) so I looked up articles within the school library. Sure enough, I found material from writers who said the same thing I’d experienced myself. I knew I wasn’t bugging. Anyway I wrote about it and got a solid A on my paper. For the record, I did write about my experience in my paper while adding my helpful resources on the matter. So my professor learned quite a deal about me in that paper. No regrets! 😂
After my first time back on MFC, I decided I was going to make an effort to log in every Tuesday even when aunt flow decides to sleet on my parade like a bad habit. Of course, I would be clothed, but I would log on with hopes of perhaps playing a game or getting to know members more, maybe even go topless! And then I said "why stop here? Why not sign up for other camming sites and occupy your other days while building your fanbase?” It was a perfect idea! BUT… my self-doubt said, remember girl, you’re black, so let’s try to look for sites where ebony models are highly requested and dare I even say, only host ebony models? I know, I know, the thought process seems harsh, but it’s honestly what I was thinking. It’s the brutal truth. Needless to say, I quickly turned that thought process around and just said, girl, be you. People will love you.
So one morning, I just Googled, platforms that are Ebony model friendly. Among the list was Chaturbate and Bongacams. With Bongacams being number one for Ebony web cam models. I was stoked. However, Google made it a point to add; What… you ask? LOL
They added that ebony models proportionally make less than their white counterparts and it is important to stand out, further promoting ourselves to entice a larger fanbase…. well.,.. hmmmm… 🤔
I however, was not deterred. I knew what time it was. I’ve been a webcam model for a little over 12 years now. I understand how the game works, but what I will say is, I’m ready for a change. Like, I am overly ready for a change. I signed up for Bongacams and Chaturbate. Boom, I was accepted with Bongacams fairly quickly but after intense age verification and screening. Well worth it by the way. Super impressed with all sites I’m hosting on. Love them all and they all have their purpose for me. Let me just put that out there right now.
I normally don’t like to look at other model cams. In fact, if I do this, it’s merely for research purposes once again. Because I was genuinely thinking, it’s 2025, clearly I should be wrong in thinking ebony women are still not coming up in this industry with all the requests people keep screaming about. Right? WRONG! I looked on Chaturbate last night, just to browse their tools on how to broadcast, and something brought me to look at the white cam girls, I don’t know why I do this to this day, but I have a bad habit of thinking I can learn something from the white cam girls and make as much as they do. Comical I know, but hey! You can’t blame me for being honest. On the first page, I saw white cam girls with high token goals and meeting said goals within minutes! I was impressed and inspired. But something in me said, go look at the girls who look like you, maybe you could learn something from them too. So I searched for ebony models. Like they weren’t even on the first page, I had to search. A step up I suppose.
Anyway, when I clicked on the ebony cams, I immediately noticed they were asking for way less and weren’t meeting their goals nearly as fast and it looked like they had been online for several hours. I shit you not, I got hot and bothered. I was becoming increasingly worried. I was thinking OMG is this gonna be me on here? Did I make a mistake by signing up for Chaturbate? I immediately talked myself down from the mental ledge of hell and said that’s not gonna be you. You’re here because you’re a free spirit and you enjoy masturbating while getting tipped. Just be you and the rest will follow. It broke my heart however; it really broke my heart to see ebony models working three times harder and exposing themselves full throttle to only meet less than half of their already low goal. I said, wow, we are really still here. I was impressed with their following, that gave me hope as their following was quite high on Chaturbate. But still, no ebony model should be online for more than 4 hours and still not reaching a token goal of 500; and we all know tokens are worth less than a dollar, so, it’s just wrong.
I signed out of Chaturbate, and moved my research over to Bongacams. There were ebony models there, they had a significant amount of viewers, which made me feel more at ease. I saw more of an appreciation for ebony models on Bongacams. Set up for my profile was very easy. They have a step by step process, which was super nice. I love their intro emails. Once I was confirmed as being approved for my profile, they sent me a welcome email with helpful tips on how to succeed in this business and one of those tips was to market and promote myself. I truly appreciated it because it let me know that I am not losing my mind in being proactive with promoting myself and advising others who follow me to do the same. They also have attorneys on hand for models. So d*pe!
I looked at the ebony models and they were super engaging, getting tipped by their followers. They were having a great time and they were being shown much appreciation. So Google was not lying when they said Bongacams is 1000% ebony friendly. I was super excited to start.
So, today I logged on Bongacams as a registered model, and quickly made friends with plenty of fans. I talked and played games with them. I played with myself in public chat and received tips. I genuinely had a great time. The people loved me. However, all in all, after spending at least two hours I’ve only made $1.90. Now I will say, I was super grateful for my $1.90! Bitch it’s coint! And I earned a ton of fans, so it’s a win win sitch. I did have to rewire myself and understand the reason I’m even doing it. I want to make money from multiple resources, Bongacams included. But what I will say is, I got really high from the attention. I will be back over and over.
My overall rating for Bongacams is 5 stars. It’s easy to use, they have step by step guides, and it is super ebony friendly. I was also able to set up my schedule - which is Wednesdays if aunt flow isn’t around and I don’t have a full house. 😂
